Campaign Rally Math
Take John McCain's age. Times it by 1,000. Add the number of times Bush has mispronounced the word "nuclear" (approximately 4,000), and THAT's how many people turned out to see Barack Obama in Portland, OR yesterday. Amazing!
As for me, I was home in Indianapolis, raking up the dirt in my soon-to-be vegetable garden.
Comments
There was a huge crowd in Indy when Obama spoke (21,000?), but the rally in Oregon makes me wonder how much larger the turnout here would have been if he had spoken in the middle of a Sunday rather than on a rainy Monday evening.
