I want to reenact this video in front of my house and see how long it takes the neighbors to call the cops.

Maybe I was spurred by the Larry Bird picture, but I've been feeling deeply nostalgic this morning.  I was listening to this song in the car ...

For the record, I was listening to the original, Shuggie Otis, version.  I can't decide which I like better: the Brothers Johnson or Shuggie Otis.  The Brothers Johnson version is the one I grew up with, but Shuggie is the original.  I guess maybe I love them both equally.

A Recent Conversation with Maria:

Me:  I hear music.  Do you hear music?

Maria:  Yeah, I do hear some jams.

Me:  Uhhh, did you say "jams?"

Maria:  Yeah, jams.

Me:  Okay, what are "jams?"

Maria: "Jams" is Spanish for "music."

So, anyway, here are some jams that I like a lot.

Wow!  Eddie Vedder wrote a tribute song for my beloved Chicago Cubs!  I love how it sounds sort of like an old Irish pub song. 

Go Cubs!  This is the year!
